ITRMC Support Staff

The staff supporting the Information Technology Resource Management Council works in tandem with ITRMC to improve the efficiency and productivity of Idaho State Government in its statewide use of emerging information technologies and communications services.
The staff is responsible for development of the State's IT Plan; staffing support to the council; research and development of statewide IT applications; and coordination, facilitation, and implementation of the State's long-range, enterprise-wide technology planning efforts and initiatives.
The staff assists state agencies in effectively meeting their individual information technology needs. The staff, in cooperation with agency directors and IT management, ensures respective agency IT plans and major IT projects are in harmony with the direction established by the State IT Strategic Plan and comply with the IT Policies, Standards, and Guidelines as adopted by the council.

Greg Zickau is
the Chief Technology Officer for the State of Idaho’s Office of the
Chief Information Officer (CIO), which has governance authority for strategic
IT research, development, and implementation of information technology
on an enterprise-wide basis for the State of Idaho. In his current
role, Greg provides leadership for the Office on all operational IT
initiatives and issues.
Greg also provides the technical direction for the state by
recommending policies, guidelines, and standards for action by ITRMC.
His primary focus is on the development and implementation of the
State’s IT Strategic Plan, statewide IT initiatives, and project
oversight activities. He develops, recommends and leads short- and
long-term information technology strategies necessary to carry out the
Council’s plans and actions. Greg also serves as a resource for state
agency management in the planning and development of IT-related systems
and services.

Carla Casper
leads the Enterprise Plans and Programs team for the State of Idaho’s
Office of the CIO.
In this capacity, Carla provides strategic planning oversight of
the State’s IT Strategic Plan and leads the development and maintenance
of the Department of Administration’s IT Strategic Plan. She also leads
the team that provides project management oversight for the Office of
the CIO and the Department of Administration and offers project
management support to the project management community throughout the
state. Enterprise architecture is another program supported by this
team. Additionally, Carla provides budget forecasting, planning, and
oversight; and IT contract management for the Office of the CIO.

Gail
Ewart leads the Idaho Geospatial Office, which is housed within
the State of Idaho's Office of the CIO. Gail provides recommendations on
geospatial technologies to the council, and acts as the contact person
for statewide geospatial technology initiatives and issues. Her primary
focus is to encourage cooperation, standardization, and data sharing
across state and federal agencies and departments. Gail also represents
Idaho on national GIS councils and committees. (208)

Bill Farnsworth
leads the Enterprise Applications and Support team for the State of
Idaho’s Office of the CIO.
Bill provides technical direction for the state in the areas of
Internet applications, e-commerce, and web portals, focusing primarily
on interagency cooperative projects that enhance the state’s ability to
serve its citizens via the Internet. His primary focus is on the state’s
portal provider, Access Idaho, and the management of the state’s home
page, www.idaho.gov. Bill also
provides direction, research, and input for policies, standards, and
guidelines related to desktop and server software. (208) 332-1878

Michael Guryan
leads the Enterprise Infrastructure team for the State of Idaho’s Office of
the CIO. In this role, Michael provides strategic direction related to
telecommunications and other technologies, and develops policies,
guidelines, and standards on behalf of the Information Technology
Resource Management Council (ITRMC). In addition to seeking
opportunities to encourage and facilitate cooperation among agencies,
Michael is leading the operational team responsible for the State’s
Internet and network connectivity.

Terry Pobst-Martin
leads the Enterprise Security team for the State of Idaho's
Office of the CIO.
In this role, Terry assumes the strategic security, privacy, and
disaster recovery efforts on behalf of the IT Resource Management
Council; and leads the Office of the CIO's internal operational security

Sally Brevick is
the Administrative Assistant for the State of Idaho’s Office of the CIO, serving as
organizational and administrative support and the focal point for staff
contact. Sally organizes and provides direct support for regularly
scheduled ITRMC and select committee meetings, as well as special
events. She takes the lead role in editing and publishing ITRMC
publications such as the quarterly InfoTech News and the ITRMC Annual
